MSc / PhD Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture

Course Overview:

The MSc and PhD Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture are a unique opportunity for students to study at one of the most prestigious universities in China, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine (GUCM), whilst remaining predominantly based in the UK. These postgraduate programmes are a joint collaboration between the Chinese Medical Institute and Register (CMIR) and GUCM and are accredited by both institutions. They are sponsored by the AcuMedic Foundation.

The programmes aim to reduce the gap between Western and Chinese medical practice, by helping to create a new generation of integrative medical practitioners. They build upon and expand existing knowledge of Chinese medicine through modular study in the UK and China to develop students’ practical skills and research capability. Students will have full access to the resources at GUCM, which include the largest teaching hospital in China and the widest and most complete literary resources in the whole of Guangdong province, as well as to the extensive knowledge and experience of AcuMedic’s highly qualified team of doctors and clinical consultants.

The academic strength and state of the art clinical facilities of GUCM, combined with AcuMedic’s long experience in teaching Chinese medicine to Western medical professionals, forms a unique partnership and provides an unrivalled study opportunity for students seeking academic excellence in the field of Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
