Medical Trip to China

Hong Kong – Macau – Nanning – Guilin
Each year, the AcuMedic Foundation organises a CMIR medical trip to China to continue the Beijing University of Chinese Medicines' work in bridging the gap between East/West healthcare. The trip offers Western doctors the opportunity to experience medicine as practiced in Chinese hospitals as well as presenting a unique occasion to sample Chinese life on both a professional and personal level.
Doctors, their spouses and their family are all welcome, as free time will be spent feasting, sightseeing and relaxing.
- 13 nights stay, with 6 mornings or afternoons of clinical tuition and lectures on Advanced Chinese medical diagnostic at Guangxi Medical University affiliated integrative hospitals.
- See first hand how the Chinese hospitals are focusing on integrating Chinese and Western medicine.
- Practical sessions, focusing on internal medicine, dermatology, pain management and acupuncture techniques.
- Visit a Chinese herbal pharmacy at Guangxi University Hospital.
- Visit Chinese Materia Medica Garden in Guangxi, an important on-site study which allows you to take a closer look at herbs.
- An extensive sightseeing and shopping programs across Guilin and Beijing, which includes; Guilin Li River,Beijing The Forbidden City and the Great Wall , etc. The local flea markets, culture activities and guided city tours will also be an exciting part of the trip.
- Special leisure programs such as spa, leisure preventative healthcare treatment, for non-medicinal participants when medical participants are having their clinical tuition and lectures.
The trip fee will be £2,350 (Participants of the Clinical program), £1,950 (Non clinical participants) or £1,650 (Children under 12) per person traveling, including economy return air fare, four-star hotel or equivalent with full breakfast included (based on twin sharing), airport transfers in Beijing. Visa arrangements and travel information will be given by the Institute at a later date.
