Detox and Obesity Programme

Includes: Four sessions of acupuncture with herbal supplements.

Arrow £195.00 all-inclusive

Due to changes in diet and lifestyle, more and more people are suffering from obesity, stress and a general feeling of a lack of energy. In terms of Chinese medicine, the disharmony of the spleen and stomach, and the deficiency of spleen can result in retention of dampness and body fluid. Excessive fat deposits can also be caused spleen deficiency. A range of factors, such as unbalanced diet, irregular meal times, lack of exercise and unstable emotions will lead to the spleen and stomach failing to process food properly and transport the energy to various parts of the body, causing an excess of damp and phlegm which manifests as obesity and excess weight.

AcuMedic treatment of Detox includes sessions of acupuncture, which can help patients not only control their daily intakes, by adjusting the feeding centre of hypothalamus to block the transmission of hunger message, but also activate the metabolism to increase energy consumption. This method is also free from the side effects resulting from simple hunger therapy, medication, and an overdose of exercise. It also encourages a good balanced diet (a good portion of fruits and vegetables etc) a healthy lifestyle (regular exercise) and by eating regularly at the right time i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner.
It also helps discourage behaviours such as self controlling diets, which can lead to long term eating disorders.

We are confident that the program will help the majority of our patients, however, the length and effectiveness of the treatment really depends on the lifestyle and condition of the individual at the first visit, as all patients will have different situations, which require individual attention in their treatment.
