This DVD integrates Chinese medical and biomedical perspectives in evaluating the physiology, etiology, and pathomechanisms of sciatica. It provides thorough diagnostic analysis, as well as the most commonly seen clinical manifestions and pattern identification modeling.

The comprehensive treatment section presents a variety of methods for combining Chinese medicinals with acupuncture. Many other therapeutic techniques, including moxibustion, auricular acupuncture, electroacupuncture, tui na, cupping, steaming therapy, and point injection therapy, are described.

Suggested patient exercises are demonstrated so that these can be passed on to help hasten recovery. The inclusion of detailed cautions and suggestions will ensure the safe application of the methods presented, and the physical examination techniques will help guide diagnosis and treatment.
