Part 1 includes a brief introduction to the history of Chinese medicinal ophthalmology, anatomy and physiology of the eye and common ophthalmic examination methods, the relationship between the eye and Zang-fu organs and meridians, pattern differentiation methods of eye diseases, internal and external therapy, commonly used acupoints and acupuncture methods are elucidated with great emphasis in this book



Part 2 introduces 40 kinds of eye diseases according to anatomical position -- eyelid, conjunctiva, sclera, cornea, iris, lens, retina, choroids and optic nerve. The commonly seen and stubborn eyes diseases like blepharoptosis, dry eye, herpes simplex keratitis, ischemic optic neuropathy, retinitis pigmentosa, and optic atrophy are introduced in a more detailed way.
