Exploring the concept, Dr. Altenburg considers various alternative avenues to health and to overcoming illness.

During the course of his research, Dr. Altenburg noticed that the emphasis conventional medicine places on causes and symptoms often overlooks the person as a whole. His observations inspired him to incorporate systems such as Ayurvedic and Chinese medicines which address the needs of mind and body health. Dr. Alterburg does not shun the use of conventional medicine, but suggests that there is a larger spectrum of care and healing possibilities open to patients.
