In this new version of the handbook, the collection, processing, property of the Chinese herbs are included in the introduction. The botany of a plant is included so that you can have a better knowledge from the different parts of a plant: the root, stem, leaf, flower, fruit and seed.

The chemical components in the plants are the essential ingredients in the plant that has the therapeutic effect on human beings. With this fundamental knowledge, you can then start studying the classification of the different groups of herbs. The arrangement of the herbs in this book is according to the Chinese Pin-yin system. 4 indexes are included in the latter part of the book for you to look up, according to: pharmaceutical name, latin name, common name and Chinese name. Application of the herbs are added in this version and arranged according to common diseases.
