Clinical experiences of various distinguished schools of massage have been collected in this book. It consists of three volumes:

1) Introduction

2) Massage for adults

3) Massage for Children.

This is a book of substantial content, drawing on collective wisdom and absorbing all useful ideas. Gathered experiences and key points are written in a new style, to make it easy to understand and practicable for use. It is a reference for clinicians, medical teachers, and scientific research personnel.

The first volume, or the introduction, deals with the rationale of massage, exercises for physical training, and media as well as appliances commonly used.

In the second volume, over 120 kinds of manoeuvres for adults, passive movements of different parts of the body, and routine massage procedures are recommended; massotherapeutic experiences for more than 120 kinds of adult disorders are expounded at main points; besides, massage for sportsmen and sportswomen, and self-keep-fit massage, suitable for the middle aged and the aged to prevent diseases, are introduced.

In the third volume, physiopathologic characteristics of children, essentials of their diagnostic methods, locales and points commonly selected, over 90 kinds of manoeuvres, and therapeutic experiences of more than 60 kinds of disorders are presented.
